At the completion of september, I was aware that I had raised the bar for myself, so to speak. Unfortunately, the same confidence issues set in as in the previous month. I was recording a lot more pieces, but many were weak........or so I initially thought. Many of the pieces were "growers", and, conversely, several were "fast burners". Of all the albums, october went through the most drastic tracklisting changes. I now regard October as one of my favourites in the series. There is a shimmering quality to the sound, and a wider variety of moods, most of them, albeit, grim.

REVIEW

"October seems the boldest of the series so far, quite confronting and willful in the way it grips your attention. The sad and unstoppable kenetics of a passing train comes to mind."

Adrian Osman, Real Groove Issue135, March 2005
